When I left for work this morning the elevator was called from the 5th floor. When the door opened the elevator carriage was about 2 inches higher than the 6th floor level. While concerned, I got on and went to the ground floor.
It was only when Michael called me just now to tell me that when he took the elevator up from the ground floor when it got to the 6th floor it stopped abruptly, jumped up and down and then was still for a few seconds and then the door opened. He did not recall if the the carriage was higher than the 6th floor level. He went out to check and while he had to call the elevator — it had already moved, when it arrived the carriage was level with the 6th floor.
Craig, not sure what’s going on, but thought best to report this in case you think we should call the elevator company.
